The Boreal Journals of Lathgwen Evenheart, Volume 1 is one of six journals added to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim by Interesting NPCs.
In this journal, Lathgwen travels to Skyrim in order to find a cure for her memory's failing. She encounteres Joselyn, Zora's sister, who is at that point trying to escape from the events as they are described in the quest The Children Fair.
Thinking she is one of the college mages, Lathgwen inquires about her training. Joselyn then mentiones Anise. Lathgwen takes shelter in Greywater Grotto, where she loses the first of her journals.
