Master of Alchemy: The Philosophers Stone is a tiny (74.8kb) mod, that add lots of new content.
A scavenger hunt quest, a player home, the ability to make gold and the Elixir of life.
It also adds a charcoal recipe using Firewood at the Smelter.
The player home is an existing space in the world which has been given full functionality as a free player home; lots of planting spaces, safe storage, crafting areas, and an army of gnomes to look after your garden!
The philosophers stone sits in the potion section of your inventory, and once you obtain it you need to make more asap, as it is a one use item, but you can use it to make more.
The quest is tricky but intuitive.
Quest Guide and Other Spoilers[]
- In the mod description it says look beneath the gift of Eris... In Greek Mythology Eris is the Goddess of Trouble and Mischief, she famously gave a golden apple as a wedding gift at the beginning of the Trojan war.
- In order to use the stone you must have the level 80 alchemist perks, the recipes are at a cookpot in the misc section.
- Don't use the stone to transmute iron to silver / silver to gold - it is a one use item and the reward is not worth it!

The Quest -
- Find a letter at the Riverwood Trader, upstairs (on the table or the floor)
- Find the second letter in Riften at Elgrims Elixirs beside the bed, close to the strongbox
- Find the third letter in one of the bedrooms in the Inn in Ivarstead, on top of a chest of drawers
- Find the last letter in the Alchemists shack (just off the road south of Ivarstead) next to the bed
- Look beneath the apples in the corner to find the stone
