Old Guilts is a quest added by VIGILANT.

Walkthrough[]
After travelling to Stendarr's Beacon, you will find the Summoner's Mercenary, Taranis, guarding the way to the basement. After defeating him, grab the key from his corpse and go down to the basement. After travelling down a set of stairs, you will find an injured Jacob surrounded by bodies and blood. He will reveal that the Beacon was attacked by Bal, who's goal is to summon Molag Bal in an ancient altar in the basement.
Altano will tell you to watch Jacob as he scouts ahead. While you and Jacob make your way towards the altar, he will see images of the previous people he killed, and eventually Joshua and his master.
After entering the altar room, you will see Altano standing before Bal and her two summoned Daedra, Ranyu and Orthe. After a brief conversation with Bal, she will attack you. After the fight, Jacob will be fatally injured. The spirit of Rahel will appear and the two of them will pass of together.
After Jacob dies, Altano will instruct you to retrieve the Mace of Molag Bal from Bal's corpse. He will then deliver it to the Keeper of the Temple, Thorondir. The player will then be tasked to kill off witches in Ivarstead.

- During the quest 'Dine and Dash', the summoner Bal and her mercenary Taranis can be found sitting at the Ragged Flagon in Riften. They cannot be talked with and are flagged as essential. They are no longer present in the Flagon during the quest 'Thus Spoke Khajiit'.
