Background[]
Val (fully named Valerius Tiberius Artoria) is a former Soldier in the Imperial Legion and fought in the Great War. His family was killed by the Thalmor, he himself was arrested. His friend Marcus Jannus helped him to flee, so he occupied Helgen soon after the dragon had attacked.
