Archery Gameplay Overhaul is a gameplay overhaul mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

It overhauls the Archery mechanics of the vanilla game

Features[]

The mod adds many minute details that have a huge impact on the gameplay. Many of these changes can be configured at MCM. Some of the major changes include,

New Animations[]

  • Nocked arrows.
  • No more shaky arrows.
  • Walking, running, sprint, equip, unequip, firing, drawn movement.
  • Bow draw time cut in half (1.63s --> 0.83s).
  • All bows share the same draw time.
  • Optional equip, unequip, and release animations for Belt-Fastened Quivers.
  • Designed for 1st person gameplay with Skyrim - Enhanced Camera or Immersive First Person View.
  • Arrow Stab added to Bash attack -- lodges arrows into the target.

Enchanted Arrows[]

Arrows can be enchanted using spells or rare rings. Any arrows (including modded & DLC) can be enchanted in the 4 basic types: fire, ice (frost), magic, and shock. The damage depends on player's Enchanting skill, and can be set up in the MCM. The enchantment will display FX on your quiver when your bow is sheathed, and FX on the arrow when your bow is out. The 'Enchant Arrow' spell tomes can be found at any destruction spell vendor (E.g. Farengar, Faralda, etc.). The rings can also be used by followers.

Bleeding & Persistent Arrows[]

All arrows now inflict bleeding, a damage over time that lasts for 30 seconds. Bleeding damage scales with the target's level. Arrows (and projectile spells) will remain stuck into the target indefinitely, and can be removed from PC and NPCs using a new ability called 'Remove Projectiles'. With this ability, all the arrows that are stuck in the body will be added to the inventory. A hotkey can be assigned in MCM to quick-cast this abilty, removing the trouble of going through the menus.
